Little Life Notes: I'm looking forward to walks down at the creek again as the weather warms up. Walking is one the best ways stay healthy and it's so versatile! With good footwear you can traverse whatever terrain suits your ability and style, from malls to hiking.
Choose to be out in nature often as it's very healing because of the effect that it has on your brain. The sound of wind and water is soothing, the scents of trees trigger a relaxation response, and the beauty of light and shadow uplifts us.

🧘♂️A Quick Guide to Improving Your Body's Energy and Nutrient Conversion💪
Looking back on my weight journey, I see that I was gaining weight from that 1-2 glass of wine almost every night, and snacking. For others it’s a love of sweets or something else. You can track it down just as you find where in your monthly budget that you tend to over-spend.
Let’s take a look at how to optimize how your body uses energy and nutrients for being healthier every day.
The most common foods that contribute to excess fuel which gets stored as adipose tissue are processed foods; ‘meals’ like breakfast cereal and pop tarts; and desserts loaded with sugar and fat. Toss them- they can disrupt metabolic function.
Action: Clean out your cupboards and fridge:
Focus on lean proteins, healthy fats, and plenty of fruits and vegetables🍅. Consume grains and potatoes sparingly. Try roasted celeriac root- Yum!
Walking is a go-to for over-all wellness, and it’s easy on the joints. If you have knee problems use an elliptical trainer at the gym. You can gradually add to your effort by jogging 🏃♀️or carrying weight. Create your routine around activities you enjoy, or at least tolerate.
Activate your metabolism with exercise!
The goal is to amp up your metabolism, strength training helps build muscle mass which burns more calories at rest. Aerobic activities improve cardiovascular health and well-being, so you feel energised
Feeling connected and that you have purpose feels good, balancing your mood and providing a host of benefits. Community among like-minded people is proven to lower cortisol, a key indicator of stress. 👫👭👬
Tune into your Spiritual side:
Chronic stress can impact metabolism and contribute to weight gain. Practice stress-reducing techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, deep breathing exercises, or engaging in hobbies you enjoy to promote relaxation and metabolic balance.
