When Every Breath, Every Moment is Reward Enough, Savour What You Have and Find Joy!
by Francie Adamson

Start everyday with the mindset that you have enough already and you will build your life from a place of satisfaction. And make your goals from the perspective that you already have enough love, prosperity and good health, so 'no worries': This is the basics of non-attachment.

Creating balance in your life is much easier when you’re able to shift with the changing circumstances to change directions or completely let go of what previously was your hearts desire.

My friend's father's retirement dream was to build the perfect house- the reward he deserved after a life of  hard-work..

And he prepared for years by buying a plot in a small town. There were many setbacks along the way and things did not go smoothly making it a frustrating experience. Also, at the same time, his wife, whom he adored, became ill. Because he was so caught up in his project, he failed to see, or denied, that she had Alzheimer’s disease.

By the time he was finished building his dream house it was too late for his wife to enjoy their retirement together.

Although the house had been planned for years, there’s no doubt that this gentleman’s priority was his wife. Had he been less attached to his dream would his eyes would have opened to the reality that it no longer fit with what he wanted and what the situation called for?

Desires and dreams lead us forward and make you who you are.

At the same time, gratitude that everything you truly need is being provided already is stabilizing. You’re more likely to feel good and satisfied with your achievements when you’re taking it day-by-day. It’s easier to stay focused on how you can truly serve your purpose rather than what other people think you should do.

It’s also easier to stay focused on what matters most and let go of the future you thought would be and embrace a new path.

Letting go of attachment is to expect no reward.

Not that this is easy or even attainable, do your best to let go of being attached to being unattached!

Remember every breath, every moment is reward enough, savour what you have and find joy!

SWEET READ

Stillness is the Key: by Ryan Holiday

This is philosophy at it's easiest. Thoughts on what helps to make life meaningful, productive and more effortless explained through the stories of famous people from the present to ancient times. Many details about these people are surprising and interesting and clearly illustrate the point he's making.  t's engaging and enjoyable, an excellent book to read before sleeping so you'll drift off with ideas that are helpful to creating work-life balance. I read a few parts twice not because they were difficult but because I wanted to absorb the information and make it a part of my philosophy.
