ART COMMISSION AGREEMENT (ONTARIO, CANADA)

By checking the box below, you, $FIRSTNAME$ $LASTNAME$, agree to the following terms for a custom artwork commission from Francie Adamson.

1. THE ARTWORK

The Artist will create one original artwork based on the details provided by the Client (such as subject, size, medium, and general style). Artistic interpretation and creative decisions remain with the Artist.

2. TIMELINE

Estimated completion time: [2 weeks].
This timeline is an estimate and may change due to the creative process or unforeseen circumstances. The Artist will communicate if delays occur.

3. PAYMENT

Total price: $436 CAD

• A non-refundable deposit of [215] is required before work begins.

• If cancellation occurs after substantial completion, the Client may be required to pay for work completed to date.

• The remaining balance must be paid before delivery.

The artwork remains the property of the Artist until full payment is received.

4. REVISIONS

Because this is a small personal commission, no revisions or changes are included once work has begun. Please ensure all details are correct before submitting your request.

Any revisions or changes outside the original scope may incur extra fees, to be agreed upon in advance of any revisions.

5. CANCELLATION

• If the Client cancels after work has started, the deposit is non-refundable.

• If the Artist is unable to complete the artwork, the Client will be refunded.

6. COPYRIGHT & USE

• The Artist retains full copyright of the artwork under the Copyright Act (Canada).

• The Client is granted a non-exclusive license for personal use only, including home display, personal gifts, or sharing on personal social media with artist credit.

• The artwork may not be reproduced, sold, altered, or used for commercial purposes without written permission from the Artist.

Unless otherwise requested in writing, the Artist may display the artwork for portfolio, website, social media, or promotional purposes.

7. DELIVERY

8. GOVERNING LAW

This agreement is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
